The Metuchen Edison YMCA Swim Team currently competes in both YMCA and USA Swimming Sanctioned events. The team is comprised of approximately 150-175 swimmers ranging from ages 7 – 19.
We currently have 2 training sites: The Metuchen Branch YMCA and Wardlaw Hartridge School in Edison, NJ. The team is comprised into 6 different training groups all based on ability.
One the goals of The Metuchen Edison YMCA Swim Team is to motivate, inspire, and develop young athletes into becoming not only better swimmers, but also becoming mature, respectful, and responsible representatives of the MEY Swim Team.
The MEY Swim Team has had athletes go on to compete in a wide variety of high level meets including YMCA State Championships, NJ Jr. Olympics, Eastern Zone Championships, USA Sectionals, USA Jr. Nationals, and USA Olympic Trials.
